Alert! SSL Problems
identified with Internet Explorer 5.01
Microsoft has identified a problem with its Internet Explorer browser
version 5.01 and accessing Web sites via SSL (https). The following links
will take you to a description of the problem and a way to test your browser
for the bug:

Follow these steps to verify that cookies are
properly enabled in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x.
- Select "Tools | Internet Options..." from
the tool bar on the browser.
- Select the "Security" tab
- Click "Custom Level"
- Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
- Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your
computer" to "Enable". Set "Allow per-session cookies"
to "Enable"
- Click "OK"
- Next, select the "Advanced" tab.
- Scroll to the "Security" section.
- Make sure that "Use SSL 2.0" and "Use
SSL 3.0" are checked.
- Next, select the "General" tab.
- Click on the "Settings" button in the "Temporary
Internet Files" section.
- Under "Check for newer versions of stored
pages:", select "Every visit to the page".
- Click "OK"
- Click "OK"
